 Daniel Hettinger, Owner
Daniel has over 20 years of experience in Landscape Design and Construction. His career started in Denver, Colorado where he co-founded a successful business with his brother, Dusty. Their business specialized in custom water-features; including natural and contemporary ponds and waterfalls.
Daniel is passionate about creating outdoor spaces that transport you into nature. He holds a degree in Business, and is regarded as a "Future Business Leader of America". Daniel's ingenious designs set him apart, making him an industry leader in landscape design and water-feature construction. He is a visionary, with the innate ability to convert something mundane into something truly spectacular. He excels at custom innovations while meeting demands for functionality, quality, space, and customer satisfaction. |

Daniel has always been family oriented while also having a strong draw to the natural beauty of the ocean. When the opportunity came up, he and his wife Elena, chose to relocate from Denver Colorado, to Jacksonville Florida to start a family by the sea. Now, with his experience in creating custom mountain retreats- inspired by his world travels, plus his newfound proximity to the Ocean, Daniel is determined to bring the best of both elements into perfect balance, "where the mountains meet the sea."

Early Beginnings

At the young age of 8, Daniel along with his older brother were inspired by a quaint little water feature they spotted at a convention center. Determined to build one of their own, the two little boys started to dig a large hole in their back yard. "Let's make this an anniversary gift for mom and dad!" said one brother to the other. “Yeah!”, the other brother squealed. “Since Mom's going to want to hang out here all the time; she's going to need a place to sit under the shade!" The two boys hurried over to the front yard where they grabbed a lawn chair and their mother’s much-cherished oak tree (a prior wedding gift). After a little “landscaping”, they were ready to unmask their first water feature. "Surprise!" the two shouted emphatically. Much to mom and dad’s dismay, they peered over their yard to a lawn chair, a half-eaten oak tree, and a drained-out hole.
Needless to say, Daniel and his brother have come a long way from their early childhood days of water-feature construction; however, their passion remains the same. After 20 years in the profession, Daniel has only managed to perfect his water-feature construction, masonry work, gas-line, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical expertise. After several personal and professional home remodels he's acquired a heavy set of skills in craftsmanship, with quality and aesthetics as his aim.
Needless to say, Daniel and his brother have come a long way from their early childhood days of water-feature construction; however, their passion remains the same. After 20 years in the profession, Daniel has only managed to perfect his water-feature construction, masonry work, gas-line, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical expertise. FYI-
Daniel built a retaining wall 8'W×4'Hx32'L (I know...huge!! and filled it with dirt and added a drain) not to mention took out the existing 24" wall with rock; this was completed in 2 1/2 days. The wall was done to perfection (Daniel doesn't waste time). Then he moved to the next project, built double gates for a 12 ft opening in the backyard identical to the front gate in the main entrance hinges/latches identical. He is very attentive to detail. This was completed in 1 1/2 days and upon completion. I couldn't believe it, he left my property the way he found it, clean and tidy. Daniel did everything in the bid within the time frame. And I must say he has perfected his Craftmanship.
